In 2008, Sia founded Tranglo and oversaw its growth from a small firm offering airtime recharge solutions to an international payment hub with a diverse portfolio worldwide. Today, Tranglo processes more than USD 2.5 billion of cross-border payment annually for world leading mobile operators, payment gateway, banks and merchants. Tranglo global presence covers more than 300 mobile operators and 700 banks spanning across in Asia, Americas, Africa, Europe and Middle East.
HY Sia is known as a serial entrepreneur – founding, raising funds and exiting various business ventures. Besides Tranglo group of companies, Sia is also the founding member of various tech companies including Ionnex and Xendity amongst others.
HY Sia graduated as Bachelor of Information Technology, Multimedia University (Cyberjaya, Malaysia) and is one of the Ernst & Young Tech Entrepreneur Nominee of Year 2016 alumni.
